OVERBANDING TAPE

Red Stag Materials supply a high quality BBA HAPAS approved bitumen tape for creating a neat and tidy 35mm wide bitumen joint strip. The pre-formed overbanding tape is suitable for use in joints and cracks.

The product is ideal for sealing joints following asphalt patching works or utility track reinstatements. Using a bitumen overbanding tape will prevent the ingress of water into joint and preserve the integrity of the surrounding surfaces in years to come.

Installed simply by using a gas torch to burn the line onto the crack or asphalt joint, overbanding tape is quick and easy to use. It also avoids wastage as the lengths can easily be cut to the required length.

More significantly is the ability to eradicate the use of bitumen boilers and the risks associated with this.

The overbanding tape offered by Red Stag is produced with rosin ester blended with bitumen and various polymers along with a fine aggregate to achieve a SRV of >60 therefore complying with the requirements of the DMRB HD 31/94 Para.2.10/11
